About Brogdon Builders

Brogdon Builders was founded by Clayton Brogdon. Guided by his father’s mentorship, Clayton’s passion for construction took hold early in life. Starting as a laborer in South Georgia, he acquired invaluable skills and nurtured a strong work ethic. After earning his accounting degree from Valdosta State University, Clayton pursued his dream of becoming a builder in Jacksonville, FL. In 2015, alongside his wife Cortney, Brogdon Builders was born. The company initially served both residential and commercial clients, before eventually shifting its focus almost exclusively on the commercial sector.
 
Brogdon Builders enjoyed quick success and Clayton asked his brother Steve to bring his 15 years of accounting and business expertise to assist with the growing company. Today, Brogdon Builders continues to thrive, embodying family values, integrity, and client-centered service. Thank you for considering Brogdon Builders for your commercial construction needs.

Clayton Brogdon

Clayton Brogdon

President

Clayton provides more than a decade of residential and commercial building experience. A native of Georgia and graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Clayton learned about the construction industry from his father and hands-on work in the field. Since founding Brogdon Builders in Jacksonville in 2015, Clayton and his company have become fixtures in the Northeast Florida construction community. He served as the 2019 Chair of the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s (NEFBA) Custom Builders and Remodelers’ Council, where he remains an active member.

Steve Brogdon

Steve Brogdon

Vice President

Steve joined Brogdon Builders shortly after its conception. Like his brother, Steve also has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valdosta State University where he was a founding member of the Accounting Honors Society, Beta Alpha Psi. With more than 15 years of accounting and business experience, Steve joined Brogdon Builders to help manage the company’s growth and expand the company’s capabilities to serve clients. Steve served as Second Vice Chair on the NEFBA’s 2021 Saint John’s Builders Council and is active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Northeast Florida chapter of NAIOP. He currently serves as the 2023 Chair of the St Johns Builders Council.

Cortney Brogdon

Administration Manager

Cortney utilizes her background in communications to manage the office and oversee all administrative operations. She’s been a part of Brogdon Builders since it’s founding and has fine tuned its day-to-day procedures while also spearheading Business Development efforts.

Marc

Marc Hoffmann

Superintendent

Born and raised in Clay County, Marc was brought up in and around the construction industry. He has been a state certified plumbing contractor since 2002. He has over 20 years of experience managing commercial projects, light industrial, home remodels, and new custom homes. He is an integral part of day-to-day operations and ensures projects run smoothly and according to schedule.
